There are Many Hearing Aid Styles to Choose From Based on Your Hearing Loss and Preference
Behind-the-Ear (BTE)
BTEs (Behind-The-Ear hearing aids) are suitable for individuals with mild to profound hearing loss. The receiver, which produces sound, is integrated into the hearing aid, meaning all the device components are housed behind the ear rather than in the ear canal.
Receiver-in-the-Canal (RIC)
Also sitting comfortably behind the ear, this style of hearing aid is more discreet because the receiver is not built into the hearing aid but instead sits in the ear. This design makes RIC (Receiver-In-Canal) hearing aids smaller.
In-the-Ear (ITE)
The In-the-Ear (ITE) hearing aid is designed specifically to fit the unique shape of your ear. Fitting perfectly inside your ear, it offers maximum discretion and the utmost comfort.
In-the-Canal (ITC)
Custom-made to fit almost entirely inside your ear canal, making them difficult to notice. ITCs are suitable for mild to moderately-severe hearing loss.
Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC)
Fit deep inside your ear canal so that they’re practically invisible. Benefits include cosmetic appeal, reduced feedback and excellent sound quality. CICs are suitable for mild to moderately-severe hearing losses.
